Revamping My Blog

Hi everyone!

The last time I regularly posted on my blog was back in high school! It is so crazy looking back at how much my style has changed over these few years. Living on the east coast for college has opened me up to so a large array of styles. I've noticed that I have started wearing more neutrals and muted colors especially in the cold winters of New York. However, I have still kept my bohemian west coast style as my favorite brand continues to be Free People. As summer is about to be in full swing, here are some must-haves to enjoy all the outdoor events and festivals you plan to attend!

My first must-have is a backpack. I follow a lot of YouTubers and bloggers who rave about how convenient their backpacks are for festivals and everyday events.

I am so obsessed with this Rebecca Minkoff backpack. While working at Nordstrom in handbags over my winter break, I fell in love with this bag. It is very versatile with the clasp that clips both up and down for two different looks. The compartments on the sides are great for storing any small items such as lipstick for those quick touch ups after eating.
My second must-have are these Quay sunglasses from Urban Outfitters. They have silver reflective lenses and are fairly inexpensive.
Another must-have for summer is a stylish romper that can be dressed up or down. This romper from Lulus could be paired with sneakers during the day and heels at night.
This dainty long necklace from Urban Outfitters is the perfect pairing for a low plunging dress or romper like the one above. The double chain also adds some layering to the neckline.
A trendy phone case is another one of my must-haves. My favorite phone case company is by far Wildflower. They hand craft each and every case and have a large variety of fun options. I own one of these cases in the white marble that is also available on the site.
My final must-have for summer is a polaroid camera. I received the Fujifilm Instax mini 8 in blue and have loved it ever since. I just found some stickers at Urban Outfitters for a new way to customize your camera.

There are plenty more must-haves, but these are my top six favorites. Hope everyone is having an amazing spring, and there will be more content coming soon!

Stay beautiful,

My Favorite Nail Art

This summer, the best nail art trend is painting each nail with something different than the other nails on the same hand. Here are some of my favorite examples that pull off this trend perfectly.

I used blues, white, and gold to try this out.

I left my thumb and pinky nail with two coats of the royal blue that I bought in a pack of four from Urban Outfitters. I used OPI's 18 carat gold top coat called the Man with the Golden Gun from Skyfall for the index finger. For the middle finger, I used a top coat that was in a pack of two from Revlon that was an iridescent blue. To get the straight line for the ring finger nail, I used tape to mark off the area that I did not want to paint. OPI's Mad Hatter was used for the light blue, and I used a thin brush for the white line. My two midi rings are from Nordstrom BP.
I hope these pictures give you some ideas to spice up your nails for summer. The key that I have found to get awesome nail art is patience. Be sure to wait until the base color is dry until marking off with tape or painting over.

Ombre Hair

A few weeks ago, I decided that I wanted to do something different with my hair. I have never dyed my hair so I wanted to make sure I knew exactly what I wanted. One of my friends was getting trained at beauty school so I thought she would be the perfect person to dye my hair. I looked on Pinterest for some inspiration. I found these pictures:

After hours and many foils later, my hair ended up like this:

I love how the color turned out, and I plan on dying it again soon a little lighter.
Let me know what your favorite hair trend is right now. I am obsessed with Kylie Jenner's blue hair. Her style is perfect to be able to pull off the vibrant color.

Oregon Adventures

This past weekend, I traveled with my friend and her family down to Oregon to stay at the Oregon Garden Resort. It was such a great experience, and the gardens were breath taking. We also went on a hike called the Trail of Ten Falls. The entire loop was about 5 miles mostly uphill. It was completely worth it because of the gorgeous falls we saw. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the weekend:

In the pictures above, I am wearing a dress and necklace from Nordstrom BP. along with Steve Madden gladiators.

For the hike, I wanted to be very comfortable and able to keep cool. I opted for a Nike sports bra, Under Armor light weight tank, Nike capris, and Nike sneakers.
On the way back from the Oregon, we stopped in Portland for the day. We went to Voodoo, walked down by the water, rented a surrey bike, and just hung out in one of my favorite cities.

Hope all of your summers are going well! I know I am enjoying my summer to the fullest. I will try to be more on top of things and post more frequently.

Summer = Time for Rompers

I am so excited to be back on the west coast after my first semester of college on the east coast! Summer is also one of my favorite seasons, and I am excited to spend it with fashion and old friends. A trend that I have been wanting to try is rompers. They are the perfect go-to outfit whether you are going to Coachella or hitting the city with friends for the day. Rompers can be knit or lace and backless or long-sleeved. Here are some of my favorites:

Topshop Eyelet Panel Short Sleeve Romper

Fire Floral Print Halter Romper

One Clothing Lace Panel Romper

Glamorous Surplice Long Sleeve Romper

Liberty Love Print Drawstring Romper

Charlie Jade Print Silk Romper

Topshop Lace Trim Romper

Hope these pictures give you ideas on some of the different kinds of rompers available. Happy Wednesday!
